Stan Devereux offers extensive and diverse experience to the Pac/West family while heading up the Pac/West California office. As Vice President, Stan has led the branding and marketing efforts for several health care-related companies. He has provided media relations, crisis management and community support for both resource and conservation organizations. Stan developed campaign and political experience that enabled him to manage campaigns and provide political analysis on major Sacramento radio stations. In fact, he worked on various statewide campaigns, including high-profile campaigns for Congress and the United States Senate. For more than 15 years, Stan worked inside California state government managing issues and legislation related to natural resources, taxes, and insurance. At one time, he was Assistant State Treasurer in California and chief of staff to Matt Fong at the Board of Equalization. Immersed in these issues, Stan developed skills and experience that has become extremely valuable to Pac/West clients.
Stan actually began his career in television news as an anchor, reporter and producer for stations in Alaska, Oregon and California. His media relations and legislative skills were further developed as a Senior Consultant in the California State Senate and later as the External Affairs Manager for the Western States Petroleum Association. As Director of Public and Government Affairs for the California Earthquake Authority, the world’s largest provider of residential earthquake insurance, Stan developed and implemented crisis management plans. Finally, Stan has owned and managed his own public and government affairs firm, skills that are helpful to Pac/West clients today.
Stan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a second major in political science from Washington State University.
