Rashad Henry offers clients a wealth of skill and experience in a variety of areas, including social marketing, project management, public outreach, web development management, special event coordination, sponsorship development and government relations. He currently works on Oregon’s Drive Less Save More campaign, a social marketing initiative that seeks to reduce individual car trips by raising public awareness about the benefits of driving less through smart driving strategies and transportation options. He helps manage campaign operations, partnership outreach and sponsorship development. He also manages the campaign’s web content development, online trip diary and electronic outreach.
Throughout his tenure at Pac/West, Rashad has worked on several key social marketing initiatives including the Oregon Tobacco Prevention and Education Program, Colon Cancer Awareness in Oregon, and the city of Vancouver’s Smart Commuter Campaign. He has also worked on marketing and public outreach projects for the Oregon chapters of NECA and IBEW and the Operating Engineers Local 701.
During the 2001 and 2003 Legislative Sessions he served on Metro’s lobbying team, working on transportation, land use and natural resource issues, and AFSCME Council 75’s lobbying team, working on labor union issues. Before joining Pac/West, Rashad worked as Oregon AFSCME Council 75’s volunteer coordinator during the 2000 elections, promoting political awareness and participation throughout the union.
Rashad earned a B.S. in psychology and political science from the University of Oregon.
