Personal Interests: Chris is a lifelong Portland Trail Blazers fan. He enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, playing sports and surfing the Oregon coast.

Chris Sweeney works directly with account managers on government affairs and legislative projects. His primary responsibilities include performing research, managing legislative updates, tracking issues, and writing press releases and media reports. He assists on a variety of outreach and planning activities. Chris works with a wide range of Pac/West clients, including representatives from the health care and construction industries.

Chris is fluent in Spanish and published numerous articles on US-Latin American relations as a Research Fellow for the Council on Hemispheric Affairs in Washington, D.C. He has presented research at various academic conferences and his work has been included in the curriculum of economic development programs at major universities.

Prior to working at Pac/West, Chris worked as a Language and Culture Assistant in Murcia, Spain. He worked as a Logistics Assistant for NBC Universal in Vancouver, Canada during the 2010 Olympic Games.
Chris earned a B.A. in Geography and International Relations from the University of British Columbia. He was active in student politics and served for two years as the Vice President of the International Students Association, which represents the diverse interests of the University’s international student body. He is from Portland, Oregon.
