Areas of Expertise: Government relations, strategic communications, campaign management, and natural resources policy. 

Personal Interests: Political debates and discussions, volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America, trying new restaurants, and spending time outdoors.

Mark leads Pac/West’s Denver office and brings a wide range of experience to his clients including campaign management, government affairs, strategic communications, and stakeholder relations.

Mark manages a multitude of campaigns and projects on an array of topic areas across the western United States, including oil and natural gas, agriculture, development, and business trade associations. Since 2013, Mark has served as director of operations and coalitions for Coloradans for Responsible Energy Development and deputy campaign manager for Protect Colorado, where he manages the day-to-day operations of the statewide campaigns focused on educating Coloradans on fracking and defeating ballot measures aimed at attacking the oil and natural gas industry. Mark has also overseen several pro-business campaigns during the 2014 and 2016 election cycles.

Before rejoining Pac/West in 2013, Mark worked for the National Association of Conservation Districts in Washington, DC where he oversaw the western United States and managed the Association’s work with the Department of the Interior and the U.S. Forest Service as well as the House and Senate Resources Committees. Mark was instrumental at raising the profile of the Association with the Department of the Interior and Bureau of Land Management (BLM), including renegotiating the five-year Memorandum of Understanding between the Association and BLM.

Mark serves on the board of directors for Denver Area Council Boy Scouts, a member of the Conservation Task Force for Boy Scouts of America National Committee and is vice-chair the Public Outreach Committee for the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Government from Pacific University.
